Janie Hirsch, ASID

J. Hirsch Interior Design has been designing award-winning interiors for over 20 years. Janie Hirsch, ASID, graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the School of Architecture. Janie, a Louisiana native and the daughter of an architect and watercolor artist, landed on her feet in Atlanta following a stint in New York City working for a lighting designer. Janie has designed homes from New Jersey and New York, to Georgia, to Louisiana and Florida and has received numerous local, regional, and national design awards for personal homes, show houses and model homes.

Janie has been awarded a total of 13 ASID awards which includes show houses, model homes, contract spaces, and singular spaces such as a wine cellar and tasting lounge, a private home in Buckhead, and a sorority chapter room.  The ASID Southern Accents National Residential Interior Design Contest awarded Janie for a kitchen that was featured in Southern Accent's January/ February 2008 issue. This same Marietta home was also awarded a national Best in American Living Award (BALA) and an Atlanta Home Builders Professionalism Award (OBIE). She has participated in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Show House & Gardens, the Alliance Theater Christmas House, the Atlanta Magazine’s Dream House, Roswell Woman’s Club Designer Show House, and Christmas at Callenwolde. Janie Hirsch’s designs have been featured in Southern Accents, Beautiful Homes, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Atlanta Magazine’s HOME, New Home, Remodel, Home By Design, Atlanta Style & Design, Atlanta Life Magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Flavors, Points North, Women’s World, Decor, Green Living by Design, Decorati, and Decorating magazines.  Janie is most recently featured in the cocktail table book Interiors Southeast where she graces the cover.

The signature of J. Hirsch Interior Design includes an eclectic combination of classic furnishings and antiques with a strong connection to architectural elements. She also uses color as a neutral, along with texture and pattern to bring a quiet sophistication to clients’ homes. Her style is tailored and timeless. The end result is a design that is inheritable and ages gracefully.
